​Opportunities for Service

​Here at FBC Slaton, we want every member to be a part of the wonderful work God is doing in our church and throughout our community. Below is a list of opportunities to serve through the many committees that keep our church functioning day-by-day. Benevolence/Memorial Committee	Direct all benevolent work.
Budget & Finance Committee	Prepare, administer and monitor the annual budget.
Committee on Committees	Nominate committee members for all church committees.
Discipleship/Evangelism/Missions	Promote and oversee discipleship, evangelism and missions of the church.
Fellowship & Kitchen Committee	Plan church-wide fellowships; responsible for the the kitchen and supplies.
Flower Committee	Arrange floral displays for auditorium, foyer, etc.
Funeral Arrangement Committee	Plan and coordinate meals for day of funeral.
House & Grounds Committee	Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the church owned property.
Music Committee	Help Minister of Music plan the music program.
Ordinance Committee	Assist with Lord's Supper and baptisms.
Personnel Committee	Supervises paid staff members (non-ministerial staff).
Preschool/Nursery Committee	Plan and supervise the nursery area.
Safety Team	Monitor, secure and maintain entrances to buildings to ensure safety of the church attendees.
Senior Adult Committee	Plan and implement senior adult activities.
Sound Equipment Committee	Evaluate, develop and assist in implementing technology of the church; run the power point presentation in the services; maintain the church website; upload sermons to website.
Stewardship Committee	Counts the tithes and offerings that are given each week.
Technology Team	Evaluate, develop and assist in implementing technology of the church; run the power point presentation in the services; maintain the church website; upload sermons to website.
Transportation Committee	Supervise and maintain church vehicles.
Youth & Children Committee	Plan and help with youth and children’s programs and activities.
